New Matter WiFi Downlights & Spotlights Are Here! 💡

Hey everyone! :waving_hand:

We’ve got three new Matter over WiFi smart lights to share with you — one downlight and two spotlights! :light_bulb:

If you’re thinking about upgrading your home lighting, or just want to add more smart lights to your setup, here are a few options worth checking out.

:rainbow: 1. Matter WiFi RGBCW Smart Downlight — ZML1-01DL09

This one is great if you like changing the atmosphere of your room. You can switch between colorful RGB lighting and regular white light, whether you’re watching a movie, relaxing, or just going about your day.

Here are the main specs:

  • Power: 9W / 12W options

  • Connectivity: Matter over WiFi

  • Lighting: RGBCW (RGB + tunable white)

  • Colors: Up to 16 million

  • Color temperature: 2700K–6500K

  • Brightness: 1%–100% dimming

  • Beam angle: 110° wide beam

  • Color rendering: Ra ≥ 90

  • Anti-glare: UGR < 12

  • Installation: Recessed ceiling mounting

The 110° beam gives you a wider spread of light, making it a nice choice for bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, or hallways.

And with RGB colors, you can easily change the mood whenever you feel like it. :rainbow:

If you prefer more focused lighting, this one might be a better fit.

It’s designed for highlighting specific areas, like artwork, feature walls, shelves, or furniture. You can also adjust the direction of the light after installation.

Main specs:

  • Power: 12W

  • Connectivity: Matter over WiFi

  • Light color: Tunable white (CCT)

  • Color temperature: 2700K–6000K

  • Beam angle: 24° / 36° options

  • Color rendering: Ra ≥ 90

  • Anti-glare: UGR < 9 deep anti-glare design

  • Tilt adjustment: 0°–30°

  • Rotation: 360°

  • Input voltage: AC 220–240V, 50/60Hz

You can choose a 24° beam for more focused lighting or a 36° beam if you want to cover a slightly wider area.

The adjustable design also makes it easier to point the light exactly where you need it.

:sparkles: 3. Matter WiFi Recessed Spotlight — ZML1-01SL24

Here’s another option if you like a clean, modern ceiling setup.

This spotlight has a focused beam and adjustable lighting direction, making it useful for accent lighting around the home.

Main specs:

  • Power: 12W

  • Connectivity: Matter over WiFi

  • Light color: Tunable white (CCT)

  • Color temperature: 2700K–6000K

  • Beam angle: 24° (36° variant also available)

  • Color rendering: Ra ≥ 90

  • Optical design: Anti-glare

  • Tilt adjustment: 0°–25°

  • Rotation: 360°

  • Installation: Recessed ceiling mounting

Compared with the downlight, this one gives you a more concentrated beam, which is useful when you want to highlight a certain part of the room rather than light up the whole space.

:house: What about smart home compatibility?

All three lights use Matter over WiFi, so they can work with compatible Matter controllers on platforms such as:

  • Apple Home

  • Google Home

  • Amazon Alexa

  • Samsung SmartThings

  • Home Assistant

  • Homey

Depending on your platform, you can control the lights through an app or voice assistant, adjust brightness and color temperature, and include them in your smart home routines.

The downlight also supports RGB color control if you want something a little more colorful.

Just a quick note: These are Matter over WiFi devices, not Matter over Thread. You’ll need a compatible Matter controller and WiFi network.

:speech_balloon: What do you think?

We’re curious — when it comes to smart lighting, do you prefer colorful downlights or adjustable spotlights?

And for those of you using Home Assistant or SmartThings, what kind of lighting automations do you usually set up?

Feel free to share your thoughts or ask us anything about these lights in the comments!
